NGO & Ministries

Our NGO and Ministries partnerships are about transforming education together.

By working side by side, we help organisations empower teachers at scale. We tailor professional development for their networks, reimagine and strengthen existing programmes, or create implementation plans that embed lasting change.

Together, we can unlock the potential of teachers, elevate the quality of learning for children, and shape education systems that are fit for the future.

How it Could work for you

We partner with NGOs and Ministries to scale professional development, strengthen existing programmes, and embed sustainable change in education systems. Every partnership looks different, shaped by local context, goals, and opportunities, and the examples below show how we’ve worked alongside others to create lasting impact.

Case study: Liberia: Supporting TVET Teachers with Digital Professional Development

During and beyond COVID-19 school closures, the Commonwealth Education Trust supported 187 TVET teachers across five schools in Liberia to access professional development.

Through Teach2030 online courses, workshops, mentoring calls and in-country coordination, teachers strengthened digital skills and teaching practice. As a result, most reported increased access to professional development, greater confidence using technology, and stronger engagement with reflective teaching — with over 90% recommending the programme to colleagues.

Seychelles: Reviewing and Implementing a National Teacher Framework

The Commonwealth Education Trust partnered with the Commonwealth of Learning and the Seychelles Ministry of Education to review the national Professional Competency Framework for Teachers and develop a practical School-Based Teacher Development Implementation Plan.

Drawing on key national policies and insights from teachers, school leaders and ministry officials, the project combined document review, interviews and in-country collaboration, and concluded with a national dissemination workshop to support system-wide adoption.

Why Partner?

‘There’s a need for many of our teachers to build their teaching capacity from Teach2030. Teach2030 will build you in content and pedagogy, which many of our friends are still lacking. These courses offered will make the teacher more confident in his profession.’
